All that the the heart is dreaming of in these hot All that the the heart is dreaming of in these hot summer days 😇😊

Hello everyone! We have been away from the gram for sometime now. So just here to say a little Hi to you all 🙋‍♀️

As you already know, my parents are here. So we are concentrating more on spending quality time with them and just making sure they go back healthier and happier. Days now are more about doctor appointments, cooking their favourite dishes, late night chit chats and planning on where to take them next for lunch or dinner 😊. This is gonna continue for a while, so our absence here will continue for some more days. Hope you guys are doing good.

Took our parents for a half day trip to #mandaragiri last weekend and had a great time. But somehow it was a little saddening to see how much the place has changed over this one year. Last year it was so peaceful, hardly any tourists and no shops in the area. This time it looked like a typical tourist place with vehicles flooding in, a small eatery opened near the temple and lots of people around. I kinda missed that tranquil vibe.

Nevertheless we loved some fun photo session near the beautiful Mydala Lake, watched a gorgeous sunset from halfway to the hill top and had some yummy snacks and chai on the way back. Mumma and dad liked the place and were happy. So all in all a successful trip ☺. In case your parents are visiting Bangalore and are not long road trip people, then #mandaragirihills is a good option to consider for a short trip. Details in our blog. Website link in bio.

Happy Valentines Day everyone. Ok ok , I know its Happy Valentines Day everyone. Ok ok , I know its not officially Valentines Day yet😄 . But if you know us for sometime, then you would know today (Feb 13th) is our very own personal V Day.

So on this Vday, we wish you find the love that looks beyond the physical appearances and right into your heart. May you have the company of the person your heart feels at peace with. May you have that person by your side who will be your bestest friend, who understands the unspoken words and who stands with you when the whole world goes against. At the same time, we wish you the courage to see beyond the social norms and take a step forward in the direction of that person who you know is your soulmate irrespective of what others say.

When VDay is advertised in so many ways with the perfect looking people or couples, do remember this one thing. At the end, what matters is not how perfect you look together, but how happy you feel with each other. I still remember that time when many people thought Sush and I won't last long because insecurities will creep into our relationship,  just because he is a few inches shorter than me. Even when we held hands while walking, we got a lot of staring. It was a bit awkward at first, but then we got used to it and we would not even notice if someone stared. It has been years now. We have stayed together and grown stronger. Everywhere we go, we have always been complimented for being the happiest couple. May be because we forget everything else while being together and just enjoy each other's company. I can't imagine what would have happened if we both would have succumbed to all those harsh comments, staring and the societal norms.  So listen to your heart and build a life with that person who you know in your heart is the right one for you. Enough gyaan for today😄 . Now I have to rush and see if Sush got me any gifts or not😉 . We wish you a great Valentines Day and a lifetime of love and happiness.

The greenest of grass to sit on, the view of lush The greenest of grass to sit on, the view of lush coffee plantations, the chirping of birds for music, the sweetest papaya for snack, the game of Ludo with my loved ones and all that laughter - This is how I wish all my Sunday afternoons to be 🥰😇

Just back from a 3 day trip to Coorg with my parents and my heart is so full. Had not seen them so happy and enjoying like small kids in a long long time. Ever since I was a kid, the only thing I dreamed of was to start earning so that I could bring all that to my parents what they could not afford while giving their best to provide us good education and upbringing. And one of that was taking them on trips. Our 1st trip was to Ooty after a few months of me joining the 1st job. And I still remember how excited mumma was when she saw the low hanging clouds or had tea by a roadside shop when it was drizzling. She still talks about it with a smile on her face after all these years. So this time, we decided to take them to Coorg and stay in a villa amidst the plantations where there would be nothing, but just nature and us.

You should have seen how Mumma laughed out loud when she tried the hammock for the 1st time or how all of us got ache in our stomachs from laughing hard when Mumma and dad tried swimming in the ice cold water of the pool Or the way mumma and dad would ask to take their pictures in funny poses in every place we visited 😀. More in the stories. For now, I will say if we can measure success in terms of happiness of our loved ones, then I am the most successful person in this entire universe 🙂

One from the royal and exquisite interiors of Jais One from the royal and exquisite interiors of Jaisalmer Fort 😊

So glad we got some pictures inside the fort, all thanks to our super enthusiastic guide😃. Indeed he is the one who wanted us to have a picture here 😃. Otherwise, tripods, drones and other photography equipments are not allowed in the monuments of Jaisalmer (same in Jodhpur too).

From our experience, we would definitely recommend taking a guide when visiting Jaisalmer Fort, not for the pictures, but to have a informative tour. Also, the fort is quite huge and you can complete the tour in optimal time with the help of a guide. But here is a point of caution. The guides try to indirectly push you into buying things by taking you to the various shops as part of the tour. Try haggling or refrain from buying if you find the prices on the higher side (we felt the same).

The happiness of being at the perfect place at the The happiness of being at the perfect place at the perfect time and then I wore my favorite dress too 😄

Meharangarh Fort is definitely gorgeous from inside. But this here will always be our most favorite moment.

As we were coming out of the Fort during closing time, we found the fort glowing in the golden rays of the sun. It was the fort shining like gold at one side and the orange ball setting over the blue houses at the other. The best part? We were the only people here and it felt so surreal just to be here at this moment. A perfect sunset and a great end to the day. Jodhpur stole our hearts on the very 1st day itself 😇🥰

A beautiful morning at Jaswant Thada... Can you b A beautiful morning at Jaswant Thada...

Can you believe this beautiful marble structure looking like a temple is actually a Cenotaph? This was built in the memory of King Jaswant Singh II who was even cremated here. Since then this place has been used as the cremation ground for the Kings and queens and small marble structures have ben built for them in the same place.

The architecture and marble work is absolutely stunning. The most interesting part is the special kind of marbles used which look like glowing in sunlight as light passes through these 😃.

You can also watch numerous birds in the rainwater pond (Devkund) next to the thada or listen to the enchanting Rajasthani music played by this very talented artist outside. A lovely place to spend an hour or two.

A delightful Rajathani thali and all the vibrant c A delightful Rajathani thali and all the vibrant colors - that's how lunching looks like in Rajasthan 😋😊

Found this place for lunch even though it was not listed among the must try places in Jodhpur. But glad we went with our gut feeling. Because both the experience and the food turned out to be absolutely amazing. The place is inside an old haveli and has a very unique ambience. The walls of the restaurant are beautifully painted with the stories from Ramayan and is so colorful that I felt like eating all the colors 😜 (don't blame me, I loveeee colors).

The restaurant was totally empty, so we got the place to ourselves for the whole time. Got a chance to talk to the person serving us who told us so many things about his home in rural Rajasthan and even showed us his wedding pictures😊. The food was delectable, but it was more the ambience and the interaction that made us feel full and content. Left with a smile from the place and would definitely recommend it to you in case you visit Jodhpur.

Place: Nirvana Home Restaurant, Near to clock tower
Morning tea with the majestic Meharangarh Fort ☕ Morning tea with the majestic Meharangarh Fort ☕. I could get used to it, you know 🥰
💫💫💫
It is just our 2nd day here and we both love Jodhpur sooooo much. Yes, the city is a bit chaotic and dusty. But the views, the warm people and that old world charm oozing out of every corner - it's just too good to resist. Started the day with a gorgeous sunrise ( check our stories) and then had tea on the empty rooftop restaurant of our hotel with this view 😇. This all still feels like a dream.
💫💫💫
More from Jodhpur later. Have to go check out a few places and eat some good Rajasthani food 😁
New Year, New Destination 😊 So excited to be fi New Year, New Destination 😊
So excited to be finally traveling to one of the most colorful places that has long been on our wishlist 😀🥰
To beach mornings and subtle sunrises....🌞🌞🌞

Being city dwellers and late night people, we miss the sunrise often. So no matter how much travel-weary we are, we try not to miss it during our travel wherever there is a slightest possibility to experience a beautiful sunrise. Though I am too lazy to ditch my blankets so early, an ever excited creature (Ava 😉) would always ensure we won't miss something so magical.
Pondicherry was our last trip of 2020. Even though Pondicherry was our last trip of 2020. Even though 2020 was not exactly an year of travel, but the small trips to Ooty and Pondicherry towards the end of the year were the much needed breaks for us. I must say, travel did not feel the same with masks and sanitisers for company and the physical distance from people. But at the same time, we knew if we had to go out into the world again, it was time to adapt to this change. So we travelled with all precautions, choosing weekdays for travel and going to places in the time when they are least visited. Because travel to us has never been about ticking off places from the list. It is more about connecting with nature and getting immersed in the true beauty of the place.

So we have decided to reclaim travel in 2021 by exploring our own backyard and choosing places that are off the beaten track so that we don't contribute to the crowd at the more famous destinations. At the same time taking all precautions to stay safe.

This picture was taken at Rock Beach were we were the only people early in the morning on a weekday having this view of the endless sea all to ourselves.
Starting 2021 with gratitude for having this crazy Starting 2021 with gratitude for having this crazy monkey by my side and as always clinging to each other❤. His love and constant support (not to mention the lame jokes 😄) were the reason I was able to sail through an year like 2020 👫.
💫
So here is to Love, Happiness and Peace that we hope prevail in everyone's life in this year. Wish you all a very happy 2021.
💫
And yes, dont ask me what he is doing in the 3rd photo. This guy always had a thing for the pom-poms 🤭
This year at HOME...👫🏠 💫 2020 beleaguered This year at HOME...👫🏠
💫
2020 beleaguered us all and forced us to be confined to our homes isolated from the outside world. All travel plans got postponed and life as we knew it was changed forever. But still I would not call it a complete bust. Because irrespective of all negative things, it also pushed us to go out of our comfort zones and try out things we never tried before.
💫
Starting from creating cozy corners at home for chai sessions to celebrating special occasions or even trying out our hands in creative photography - we did it all in this time. I am not sure if we would have tried it had we not got this time at home.
💫
This year also strengthened our belief of how important and fulfilling it is to have someone by our side who loves and cares for us unconditionally. Because even though some days were tough, we had each other to lean on.
💫
That is why, despite all the setbacks in 2020, we will always remember it as the year of LOVE, REFLECTION and TRANSFORMATION.
Happy Birthday to the guy who made me believe in h Happy Birthday to the guy who made me believe in happily ever afters. Cheers to growing another year older🥂

I wanted to wish you the best in life, but then I remembered you have the best already - ME 😉
